Opportunity Presbyterian Church - Spokane Valley, WA

Opportunity Presbyterian Church

We are pleased to offer two distinct worship experiences at OPC on Sunday mornings. Both services reflect our belief that the proclamation of Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God, is the focus of our worship, communal life, and our service. Both services are distinctly Presbyterian, and yet distinctly, well, distinct!

Our 9:00 a.m. service is a rich blend of traditional and contemporary worship elements and music. We invite congregational involvement through the passing of the peace, monthly sharing of Holy Communion, and the sharing of individual prayer petitions. At this service, young and old enjoy a mix of time-honored hymns, uplifting contemporary songs, lively children’s messages*, and the inspiring music ministry of our chancel and bell choirs.

Our 10:45 a.m. service—Be . . .—is an eclectic synthesis of the ancient, traditional, and modern worship practices. The name Be . . . is derived from Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.” At Be . . . we invite dialogue, participation, movement, interaction among worshipers, and promote Christian service. Communion is celebrated weekly at Be . . . and our young ones are invited to a special children’s message*. Whether you are new to the Christian faith or simply seeking a more interactive and contemplative worship style, we invite you to experience Be . . . .

*Sunday school and activities for children ages birth through 5th grade is offered at both services. Middle and high school small groups meet from 9:50 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
