Opportunity Presbyterian Church’s children’s ministries will nurture relationships between children, God and God’s community in order to build a foundation of life-long discipleship that comes from the knowledge of salvation through Jesus, and to develop lives that are ready to answer God’s call.

Sunday Mornings

9:00 AM Children's Breakfast Club Birth— 5th Grade Each Sunday Children will join a wonderful volunteer staff for a small breakfast and free play in the children’s area. Here they will make new friends, have fun and enjoy a small meal just for them. On the fourth Sunday of every month we will offer a full hot breakfast prepared by Karen Snider. We will collecting a donation of .$50 each week for the costs of the breakfast. During this time parents are invited to participate in one of our adult education classes.

Nursery Care, Infants - yrs Heidi Bocook is our devoted nursery care coordinator. Anytime we have an event at the church we strive to provide a loving place where your young ones will feel safe and secure with Heidi and our wonderful trained nursery volunteers. Infants through 3 year olds are always welcome in the nursery at any time during the morning.

Tuesday evening 6:00pm - 7:45 pm Birth - Adult

Weeknight Programs begin the week of September 18th.

Super Tuesdays!! Super Tuesdays is a special family event each month. It consists of : family style dinner, age appropriate lessons, recreation, and worship. Every Tuesday is full of fun, laughter, friendships, and learning about God. From birth all the way up to adults there is something for everyone. You are welcome to join at any time during the year!

Tweens: Every Tuesday night from 6:30-8:00pm this is a unique group bridges the gap between kids programs and youth group for 4th-5th graders. We’ll have crazy games, great snacks, small group time and faith building lessons each week. Then once a month we meet up for a special Tweens only outing.

Christmas Musical Practice!!

The gears are already running for our next Christmas play. If you know your child would enjoy being a part of this year’s play please contact Shannon. Practices will start on October 4th run every Tues 5pm-6pm.

Little Voices: PreK-K will have a special place in our Christmas play this year. Our littlest members will have time during play practice for music and special activities planned just for them.

Afterschool Learning: We are looking at the possibility of starting an afterschool club here at the church. If you would like to help with this please contact Shannon.

VBS

3 years - 5th Graders

The last week of June is always reserved for OPC’s fun filled, high energy, fantastic VBS adventure. Make sure to block out this week because your kids will not want to miss it! Come and enjoy snacks, awesome praise songs, games, Bible adventures, and crafts! We want you to invite all your friends so start now!

Upward basketball & cheerleading

1st - 6th Graders

Would your child like equal playing time? Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is a league where every child plays, every child learns, and every child is a winner! Upward defines winning as learning and/or teaching lessons in the game of life. The emphasis is placed on having fun and good sportsmanship. Registration begins in the fall, practices start the last week of November, and games begin in January. For registration information and dates please contact our church office.

Preschool Play

3 - 5 Year Olds

This outreach ministry is for any preschool child and at least one parent. Children are invited to come and play while their parents fellowship with each other and play with their children. Different stations are provided for play including: stations using gross and fine motor skills, reading, crafts and games. A snack is also provided. This group meets on specified Friday mornings from 10:30-11:30. Call the church or e-mail Heidi for more info.
