The Session is the governing board of Opportunity Presbyterian Church. It consists of ordained elders in whom all decisions not reserved to the congregation are vested. Each member of Session serves on at least one commission which oversees a particular aspect of the church's ministry. An elder serves a three-year term, nominated by the Nominating Committee and approved by a vote of the congregration.

The Christian Nurture Commission is charged with ministering to children and youth (birth through 12th grade), and their families, nurturing them with the love of Jesus Christ through education, fellowship, and service.- Ministry to Children & Youth

Congregational Life
