Jesus was a cutting-edge communicator; like Him, we seek innovative methods to enhance the presentation of the message in a way that is relevant to today's society.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, creation, and maintence, of the audio, visual, and lighting systems
- Sound and light setup and reinforcement in sanctuary on Sunday mornings
- Sound and light setup and reinforcement for special events (such as weddings, dinners, memorials, and children and youth events) throughout the church
- Preparation and projection of song lyrics and scripture readings for worship
- Creation and projection of visual media to enhance the sermon
- Creation and projection of visual announcements for various OPC events
- Recording the worship service to cassette and CD
- Digitally recording the sermon and uploading to the internet
- Production and setup of videos and equipment as needed for special projects
- Software design to automate processes
- General technical consulting as needed
- Keeping abreast of new technologies to enhance worship
